Introduction to Interpreting Seminar
Date: April 12th -13th, 2008
The Introduction to Interpreting Seminar is entirely about finding out how participants would fit in the Professional Interpreting world. Our 6 hour workshop is designed to identify the skills of those individuals interested in becoming professional interpreters. Our interactive program will give participants the chance to test their natural skills and learn about the different interpreting modes (consecutive, simultaneous...), types (court, medical, escort...), and techniques. The program will also review the ethical, human and confidentiality issues surrounding the interpreting profession.

Covalingua attends the first global meeting of Galician entrepreneurs in Santiago
The Galician Institute of Foreign Commerce (IGAPE) held its first annual meeting for Galician entrepreneurs located worldwide. In recent years the IGAPE incorporated a web portal to facilitate Galician business communication and cooperation between those companies located in Galician soil and those located abroad by entrepreneurs of Galician origin. Covalingua, whose main goal is to empower companies doing business abroad, was there to support the initiative and will continue to be present in future editions.

Covalingua Opens a New Office In Barcelona, Spain
Covalingua goes pa amb tumaca!
Since January 07, Covalingua has a new home in the heart of Barcelona, Spain.
Most of the company’s Project Management and Production Department is now concentrated in Spain where Project Managers work different shifts to adjust to our different time zone operations. We are happy to have increased our team by two members, Pilar Pinilla and Mariah Fike, who started this past March as Translation and Interpreting/ESL SSL Project Managers respectively. Pilar and Mariah bring their own style, skills and expertise to the table.
